KCPA Diamond Jubilee 2022 – Write up & Results

Diamond Jubilee 2022 Catalogue.

Many thanks to the 100+ club members that joined us on Saturday 26th February via a Zoom link.

It was nice to see some familiar faces online.

First of all, a warm welcome was given to everyone. Including our judge for the competition Monica Weller FRPS (who had the difficult task of scoring each of the 280 images entered. As well as selecting the award winners).

Then all of the 280 images that were entered into the competition were shown via a slideshow.

Our Judge Monica then commented on one image from each of the 35 clubs that entered, commenting on the highest scoring image from each club (less any award-winning images).

We then had a short break before commencing our judge gave her comments on each of the Merit Award images :

Merit Award Certificates Winners –

The Premier & Ashford P.S Shield was Awarded to Stu Mayhew From Aperture and Woolwich P.S for the Best Image in the Competition.

The Most Improved Trophy originally went to Seaford P.S, who moved up to ladder 22 places, compared to their placing in the KCPA Diamond Jubilee 2020 competition.

However, After 1 Image submitted by Seaford P.S had to be withdrawn, Orpington P.S was awarded the Most Improved Club Trophy

Last, but not least I was delighted to announce the Winners of Diamond Jubilee Trophy Winners for 2022....Deal & District C.C

Thank you to all the 35 clubs that entered. I thought there was a superb selection of images on display and hope you all enjoyed viewing them.

I hope you thought the event went well and had an enjoyable afternoon. Our Judge Monica Weller FRPS, gave great feedback on the individual images selected for comment & did the federation proud with her evaluation of the quality of the images entered into the Competition.

Please feel free to provide feedback for the event to me via competitions@kcpa.co.uk

The KCPA Committee hope our top two winning clubs Deal and District C.C and Orpington P.S will accept our request for them to represent the KCPA at the PAGB Inter-Club (PDI) competition at Warwick in July 2022. Emails will be sent out in due course.

Thanks again to all who joined myself and our judge, Monica Weller, online for this year's KCPA Diamond Jubilee 2022 event.

Thanks also to Rupert Brun for assisting with Zoom matters, and of course the 35 clubs that entered, without whom we would have no competition.

For those of you that missed the event or wish to share with your club members the images entered. I have put together a YouTube slideshow of all the images
